About
Letter To The Healer was created as a quiet offering for healthcare workers — a small, steady reminder that you matter too.
So much of healthcare asks you to give, to carry and to keep going. This project exists to offer something back, without expectation or pressure.
It also grew from a very personal place. As a stay-at-home mom to a toddler, newly navigating life outside my in-laws’ home and dreaming of growing our family, I found myself holding a lot — love, uncertainty, gratitude and the quiet desire to help my husband move us closer to our shared goals. I’ve always been someone who carried an art pad and colored pencils wherever I went as a child and over the years painting became something I returned to in moments of stress, a way to breathe again. I’m not a trained artist and I’m still learning as I go — gathering knowledge from books, videos and small moments of practice wherever I can. Much of my work carries imperfections, uneven lines and traces of learning, but that honesty is part of the offering. Letter To The Healer became my way of turning small, imperfect moments of creativity into something that could bring comfort, encouragement and joy to those who spend their days caring for others.
Why letters
In a world full of screens and notifications, a physical letter asks less of you.
It doesn’t need to be opened immediately.
It doesn’t require a response.
It can sit nearby until you’re ready.
Each letter is created with care and sent by mail — something tangible you can hold, revisit or set aside.
What this is (and what it isn’t)
Letter To The Healer is not a self-improvement program or a productivity tool.
It isn’t meant to fix burnout or offer answers.
It’s simply a pause — delivered once a month — created to acknowledge the weight of caring for others and to remind you that your presence matters.
Created with intention
Each mailing is prepared slowly and thoughtfully.
There are no digital requirements and no pressure to engage in any particular way.
You receive it.
You open it when you want.
That’s enough.
Looking ahead
This project is growing intentionally and with care.
In time, it may expand to include other art created with the same spirit.
For now, the focus remains on the monthly mailing.
